Today, we will look at these promises and how they affect us. Get ready to know the biblical promises and their meaning, as well as many other things that the Bible will teach you.

What are God’s promises in the Bible?
It is a very common fact that God promises many things throughout the chapters of the Bible, addressing different people, but with the ultimate goal of addressing all Christians.
For example, God promised the Israelites held captive in Egypt that He would give them the Promised Land where to settle and form the people who founded Christianity with the arrival of Jesus. In fact, Jesus as the Messiah is another promise fulfilled.
There are many other promises that are not fulfilled by historical facts, but are addressed to each one of us and make us feel and make us feel more secure with the Lord at our side.
There is no complete list of promises in the Bible because, as we will see below, there are many, there are very many, and it is impossible to number them. Therefore, we invite you to find them as you read the Bible and to pray for them when you find them.
How many promises are in the Bible
There is no general agreement about the number of promises that God has left written in the Bible, since it is difficult to count whether some sentences are promises or not.
Some claim that there are 7,000 promises of God in the Bible, while others lower that figure to exactly 3,573 biblical promises. What they all agree on is that there are more than 3,000 promises in the Bible, although it is difficult to say the exact number.
We are not going to enter into this discussion because we believe that everyone must find the promises that comfort him or her, and that it is not necessary to know the number for the Word of God to be fulfilled in you.
So, today you will learn about some of these promises, probably the most useful for you in your daily life and also some historical ones that we cannot forget.
God’s promise verses
Now, let’s analyze some of the biblical promises that are in verse format so that you have references that can help give you strength in your day-to-day life and never lose heart.
These are all verses of God’s promises in the King James Bible, This translation is very faithful to the original text and keeps the nuances of the promises that are necessary to know.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
In this first verse, the Lord promises, through Jeremiah, that the captives of Babylon will be able to return to their homes after a time, and that times of peace will come and prosperity for them.
The Babylonian captivity was a punishment for the Jews’ lack of faithfulness to God, but the Lord wishes no harm to anyone and once their faith is rebuilt, they will be happy again.
We have analyzed this verse in more detail on another occasion, feel free to take a look at it!
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God who strengthens you; I will always help you, I will always uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10)
We find here a powerful promise that the Lord makes to Isaiah so that he will not be afraid, but that can be extrapolated to us. God is with each one of us and helps us to never fall.
We just have to remember that this is so not to be afraid and move forward. Look at our article on this verse to learn more about it!
“Delight thyself also in Jehovah,
And he will grant you the desires of your heart.” (Samo 37:4)
This is, you see, a conditional promise in Psalm 37.
Psalm 37
. If you love God with all your heart and live according to the Word of God, the Lord will grant your requests for they can only be for the good of others.
However, make sure that you have sincerity before God and do not stray from Christian morality before making a request. It is important to give thanks before and after asking, because the Lord allows us to do so.
“God is not man, that he should lie,
Nor son of man to repent.
He said, “And you won’t?
He hath spoken, and will he not perform it?” (Numbers 23:19)
In this very ancient verse of Numbers, this nature of God that we have spoken to you about in the previous section is highlighted. He will always keep his promises given his divine power and will never fail in his task.
“I will make you understand, and I will teach you the way in which you should walk;
On you I will fix my eyes.” (Psalm 32:8)
Again in a psalm, specifically in Psalm 32,
The Lord makes a precious promise. In this verse, the Lord promises the Holy Scriptures to all mankind, even before they were finished as we know them.
God gives us advice in every step we take, even though sometimes we don’t realize it because we think we are walking alone. The Bible is a guide valid for any moment of life and the teachings of Jesus tell us where we should go.
“For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off; as many as the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2:39)
This verse from a speech by Peter in the book of the Acts of the Apostles speaks of God’s promise of salvation. It is valid for everyone who decides to repent and follow the Lord in true faith.
“In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you: I go therefore to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14:2-3)
Some biblical promises are in the form of prophecy, such as this one in which Jesus tells us that one day he will return to Earth referring to the apocalypse. On that day, everyone who has faith will be part of the kingdom of God and no evil will disturb his spirit.
“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” (Luke 11:9-10)
In this new verse, Jesus tells us about a very important promise from God: whoever seeks God will find him. The Lord will always be with us to answer our prayers to answer our prayers and help us with everything.
Seek the Lord and you will find him but you have to really look for it. Pray often and work for good, and you will feel the Lord in the depths of your being.
“I will give you a new heart, and put a new spirit within you; and I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.” (Ezekiel 36:26)
Again, a verse addressed to the people of Israel of the time who saw God’s punishment looming over them. A promise of renewal that with the Word of God the heart feels and loves as it has never felt before.
If you live with faith, you will have this heart that the Lord promises and you will achieve true happiness that is not possible to achieve in any other way.
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
The last verse that we leave you here commented on is this one from the Second Epistle of Peter in which he himself shows us that the Lord is quick to fulfill his promises.
He specifies that some of them have not yet been fulfilled because Our Lord is patient with us and wants to wait patiently for the whole world to recognize Him as the true God before they are fulfilled.
Before going to the promises themselves, we want to address an important issue: God always keeps his promises.
However, let us not be hasty. Some of the promises you have read or will read, are subject to conditions. So if we do not fulfill these conditions, the Lord will not fulfill his part.
Others are unconditional and are fulfilled independently of our actions. So, keep this in mind before you think that God is not being faithful to his word, for you will surely be mistaken.
